Queenie Man, Founder and CEO of The Project Futurus and Captain Softmeal, was honoured to be invited by the PolyU Hong Kong Community College to serve as a guest speaker for the Management of Human Service module😊. There were 50 second-year university students present, all from Social Work programme, which perfectly aligned with the topic of the day's lecture - " Social enterprise operation experience in Hong Kong".

During the lecture, Queenie shared her motivations and experiences in founding a social enterprise, emphasizing that a social enterprise is not just a business model but also a commitment to social responsibility. The value of a social enterprise lies in its ability to solve social problems in innovative ways, creating both economic and social value.

Additionally, she provided a detailed introduction to the operational model of The Project Futurus, explaining how services are designed and provided to meet the needs of different communities. For example, we have hosted over 140 sessions of “Sensory Restaurant on Wheels™," and have launched a year-long initiative "Good Times on Wheels™️," sponsored by the HKEX Foundation. These two initiatives aim to care for various needs within society, from the elderly to people with disabilities, achieving the goals of diversity and inclusion through innovative community services. This lecture aimed to enhance students' understanding of social enterprises, encouraging them to exert influence and demonstrate empathy in their future careers while remaining sensitive and caring towards social issues, contributing positively to society 💪.
