Celebrating Towngas' 25 years of Community Service

Serving with Love: 25 Years of Towngas Volunteer Service

In celebration of Towngas Volunteer Service Team 25th Anniversary, Towngas partnered with The Project Futurus over the course of 6 months, from taking part in a series of "Sensory Restaurant on Wheels" community program to hosting a community impact luncheon for 200 elders with swallowing difficulties and their family carers.

The Program impacted over 440 elders with swallowing difficulties (also known as dysphagia) and dementia. Over 116 Towngas employees took part in the 6-month engagement contributing over 680 volunteering hours.

The special celebratory luncheon gathered 200 elders and their family caregivers from over 20 elderly homes and centers. More than 80 Towngas employees and corporate volunteers participated, dressed as "waiters" and "hostesses," to provide an immersive and nostalgic "yum cha" experience. A variety of dim sum textures were offered to accommodate elders with swallowing difficulties, allowing them to enjoy the dim sum alongside their family members. The event concluded with laughter, singing, and dancing.
